Leaving Your Legacy

Leaving Your Legacy: A Guide for Australian Artists is a workbook designed to help artists navigate the complexities of estate planning.

A yellow cover book with the title in black text reading Leaving Your Legacy: A Guide for Australian Artists

Leaving Your Legacy began as a one-day forum presented by the Women’s Art Register and And Also Presents on 25 June 2022 at Siteworks in Brunswick.

It included talks from leading industry specialists: Evan Lowenstein (Lowensteins), Jennifer Tutty (Studio Legal), Kate Nodrum (Charles Nodrum Gallery), Catherine Asquith (Catherine Asquith Art Advisory), Eleanor Vallier and Robyn Ho (c/o Studios) and Mar Cruz (ACMI).

The forum culminated in this comprehensive workbook, which outlines key information when considering legal and financial frameworks, commercial galleries and the secondary market, documentation and best practice storage and conservation approaches.

Presenting a range of information with checklists and additional resources to work through over time, we’ve framed this workbook as a living document, to give you the confidence and support to define and shape what a successful creative legacy might mean for you.
