Volunteer Open Day

W.A.R.’s Volunteer Open Days are an opportunity for new, existing and prospective volunteers to come together, explore the archive and learn more about the work of the Women’s Art Register.

As a volunteer-run organisation, our volunteers play an important role in caring for and activating the W.A.R. archive. Our Open Days offer a relaxed introduction to the Register, with opportunities to discover material from the collection, meet members of our community and learn more about how you can get involved.

Volunteering with W.A.R. is also an opportunity to develop new skills and experience in a supportive and welcoming environment. Volunteers receive training in collection management, with opportunities to contribute across areas including :

  • Arts administration

  • Communications

  • Community engagement

  • Public programming

  • Publishing

  • Research

Whether you’re already volunteering with us or simply curious about getting involved, our Volunteer Open Days are a chance to connect, ask questions and spend some time with the archive. ❤️

If you are interested in joining our next Volunteer Open Day, email us at hello@womensartregister.org and we will give you a buzz when the next one comes around! 📣
