TOOLANGI STATE FOREST SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
This fascinating display of works by international artists is situated amongst the tall Eucalypts of Toolangi forest 65 miles from Melbourne. The sculptures are viewed by taking an easy stroll through the rainforest.

These works were created in the bush setting in only two weeks by five visiting sculptors from Mongolia, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan and the Philippines and four Australians. Some used only hand tools, some used front-end loaders, some used only wood, others rope and rocks. Most sculpture related to the carefully selected surroundings. Below are some of the works by women.

Sculpture by Ms Mika Ebata of Japan
Reminder of bush fires - a stark burnt tree trunk is circled by this huge "ring" when viewed from directly in front.

Below: Ms Ebata carving logs with a chain saw to construct her sculpture.

Sculpture by Ms Ser Odyn Sarantsatsral of Mongolia
This log "horse" is constructed of wood and set on four iron wheels from the old logging carts. It is perched to look out across some of the most lovely wild forests and wine growing areas in the Great Dividing Range.
