Queen Victoria Women’s Centre is calling on women to contribute to the unique, anonymous community art exhibition, ’Note to Herself’ by creating a postcard expressing their inner voice on the areas of their lives over which they would like to take control. Inspired by the phenomenal Post Secrets project, (one of America’s most popular blogs), the Note to Herself project will culminate in an exhibition of hundreds of postcards at the Note to Herself Gallery at QV as part of International Women’s Day celebrations from February 19 until March 9. 2007

Over 10,000 blank postcards, distributed in cafes, cinemas and museums across Victoria from mid January, will form the canvas for women to paint, collage or draw on to anonymously share their secret desires for control in their lives. (Any card can be submitted as long as it is standard postcard size.) Postcards will be sent to QVWC, Level 1, 210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne to form the exhibition, at the Note to Herself Gallery at QV,
18 -22 Artemis Lane.   more here
