This two week residency will explored stories about Martin Cash in the hills surrounding Glenorchy. Les & Chantale will construct a range of
large scale papier-mâché installations and drawings depicting Martin Cash’s life. Text and photography will also be a part of the installation and readings
about Cash’s life.

The Art of Making Money 
– An approach for women to earn a living from their creativity
Arts at Work and the NW Office of Women Tasmania will be co-hosting this workshop in the gallery. The three-hour (maximum) workshop will introduce women who are involved in the arts to both local service providers and resources that can assist them as they go about product development and business planning. To provide an introduction to both business concepts and key stakeholders regarding their art or craft. The concept includes using a range of local expertise (including but not necessarily limited to:)

15th Tamworth Fibre Textile Biennial: Material Witness

Material Witness, curated by Robyn Daw, showcases some of Australia’s finest artists currently working with fibre and textiles. The twenty two artists selected from a diversity of backgrounds and locations have used familiar material, techniques and objects to create their work – but in some very unexpected ways.

Artists from all states and territories are represented including five Tasmanian artists: Irene Briant, Sieglinde Karl, Greg Leong and Karin Lettau and Rosemary O’Rourke.
